I’ll admit that this is somewhat of an unorthodox article for what I would normally write for The Bit Whisperer, but this is a topic that is near and dear to my heart.
Sounds good Michael. I relate this back to how badly I’ve sucked at writing blog posts over the years. For most of that time I figured that I mainly just wanted to write good comments over at the blogs of others. Since that generally went well I figured that of course I could also write good posts if I wanted. That just wasn’t my thing. When I would try however I’d also get frustrated because those skills aren’t quite the same. And I still can’t say that I’ve developed such skills yet. But at least I’m trying to work this out logically without getting overly frustrated. And indeed, there’s nothing written in stone here. If some of my published writings might be improved for the benefit of future readers, then I figure I should continually make those improvements. Quality should matter far more than quantity here.
It sounds like you're trying to break out of your comfort zone here. I can relate to your experience as well; long-form writing is something that I'm really getting into for the first time. Developing new skills takes time, patience, and consistency. I do find it admirable that you're also getting into writing. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the link, Michael!
You're welcome! I couldn't help but think of that as I was writing.
